Homeschooled kids aren't segregated in classrooms away from the life of the community and the interesting things going on with people of all ages.

I think I mentioned that we invited people over for large-scale projects, traveled all over for cultural events and hosted an international guest for six summers. We also learned directly from people who loved to share their passionate interests---artists, doctors, musicians, scientists, carpenters, you name it. And we got involved in real work that built real skills, like Habitat for Humanity. The friends we've made, both homeschoolers and people of all ages, are the most priceless legacy of free range learning.laura grace weldonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08275663710204362174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14991800.post-44078109918172836732010-06-12T15:03:47.016-04:002010-06-12T15:03:47.016-04:00Why do you think that they are not socializing wit...Why do you think that they are not socializing with other people just because they are a close family?
Getting along with your family the way these people do is a gift.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14991800.post-86780067556066762202010-06-11T12:00:50.102-04:002010-06-11T12:00:50.102-04:00Sounds like a close happy family but aren't yo...Sounds like a close happy family but aren't you rather isolated from other people?
