THE WAR ON KIDS is a 99 minute documentary that shows how American public schools continue to become more dangerously authoritarian. Be warned,the message here is hard core;schools are bad places for kids. In addition to failing in their mission to provide education, they erode the country’s democratic foundation and often resemble prisons.

I share the critique of schools as places of control, but I guess I feel this film is taking a slightly alarmist line. It's like watching all the bad news all the time, you would think it unsafe to leave the house (but it's not!)
That said, the security culture certainly is spreading into the public realm like never before, and that makes me nervous.
